In September of 1976 a little girl who loved horses began Grade 1 at French Creek School. To a six-year-old it seemed like a big school with lots of kids but there was one cute little boy who stood out among the rest. His name was Donnie and he loved baseball. Sometimes they were in the same class and would go on field trips together. In Grade 5 they played tag on the back field. They went all through school together, never admitting they like each other until graduation. A few years later they started dating and in 1995 they were married. They had two sons who both went to French Creek School and have many fond memories of their own. Tristan, who loved to play street hockey behind the gym, and Dane who loved wearing his many different hats to school.
