Goats on the Roof
Collen Lucas
It was great working so close to the Coombs Country Market. The folks at the Market were always friendly and helpful when I’d stop after work to pick up the day’s groceries. Many times I would run over at lunch to pick up a sandwich or some goodies and coffee for a staff meeting. I remember, too, that every Hallowe’en the Grade 5 students would be invited over to carve pumpkins. We’d all sit around the long tables in the cafeteria and the place would be alive with chatter and laughter of kids carving their pumpkins and chowing down on cookies and hot chocolate. The pumpkins would then be sent to the Coombs Candy Walk and Haunted House. Thanks, Coombs Market for the great memories!
